Instructions:
1) Find out the number of the cable run and locate the
corresponding Patch Panel port. There should be a single patch cable going from
that port to a single router port.
2) Unplug the patch cable at the patch panel and replace it
with one of the two splitters by plugging the male end of the splitter into the
patch panel port.
3) Connect the two ports on the splitter to two ports on the
router/switch using two patch cables.
4) Go to the wall outlet at the user location and
unplug the single patch cable and replace it with the other splitter. Plug both
computers onto the splitter using two patch cables. |
